Science fairs are an excellent way to create an interest in basic and advanced science topics and research. Students sharpen their skills in the subject area, and their presentation skills and confidence level also improve a great deal. SMC is being held in all the twenty districts and so is providing ample opportunities to the students to test their skills. The activity will inspire students to pursue their careers in S&T and will definitely lead to overcoming the shortage of professional scientists in the longer run. Partnership with Intel Education is also healthy sign as far as public private partnership is concerned. The partnership on one hand is a confidence building measure between public and private sectors and is proving a model for other sectors to follow suit. More and more public private partnerships should be established to attract and encourage students towards science, as our future depends on it.
